At Tree House Care, we run our own children’s home – ‘Dean and Grove Cottages’ close to Grimsby Town Centre.
The two attractive cottages, which are listed buildings, are three storey houses, where we provide a home for up to 7 children and young people aged 5-18.
Every child is an individual and we develop individual placement plans for each in association with the child, their social worker, parents and other significant people.
‘Dean and Grove Cottages’ are suitable for children with a moderate to severe learning disability, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and behavioural difficulties.
Most children stay for the medium or long term, but sometimes a child is cared for at the children’s home for only a short time.
Nestling in their own enclosed grounds, this is a real ‘home from home’.
The grounds include a trampoline and garden play equipment and the nearby Grimsby town centre offers shops and leisure facilities including a cinema, library, bowling centres and parks.
Only four miles further afield is Cleethorpes beach, together with other attractions such as a theme park and boating lake.
All children have access to a computer and a wide range of activities within the home such as arts and crafts.
We have superb links with local schools and transport to and from school is usually provided.
